On Friday, we had the opportunity to reflect on how we follow PBIS! Each student needed to pick 3 adjectives that best describes themselves or adjectives that that best illustrate positive attributes they have for traits. We used Padlet to have them share anonymously. Next, students got to choose whose three adjectives belong to whom.
Today we practiced our fluency with a fluency buddy. Our buddy listens to us and gives us positive feedback and comments to support and encourage our expression, accuracy, infliction, voice, pausing, and phrasing.
Today we continued learning about main idea, details, and summary. We used non-fiction texts, Scholastic News, and Achieve to read articles and texts and then completed graphic organizers on main idea to show understanding of the skill. Students also made main idea bags. Students filled the bags with 4 "details" and students had to guess the main idea.
Today one of our readers brought in a puzzle that was cut into pieces. The pieces were events in her Book Club Book. Her peers needed to put the pieces together. She choose this option for Voice/Choice response for her Book Club Book. BRAVO!
