This morning we put on a skit!  We shared stories of Jesus' life!  Great job 2nd Grade!!!

Little Drummer Boy!

Today we read two different versions of The Little Drummer Boy.  We compared and contrasted the versions.  Additionally we listened to the song with the lights off!  To top it off and make an emotional and spiritual connection, we wrote a list of what we would give Jesus.  We then shared our lists!  Brought a tear to my eye!

Christmas Cookbook!

Hello!
Wow! Can you feel the excitement in the air?  It's a whirlwind of bliss and joy!

This past week we created a Christmas Cookbook as part of a gift for our parents!  Students wrote recipes of their favorite Christmas food.  I typed them up and had students create the cover page, about the author page, and the back jacket!  They are so excited to give these to their parents!

Skype Spanish

HELLO!

Once every two to three weeks we Skype!  Fortunately, we are blessed with an awesome partnership with the school district.  One of the staff members-a Spanish Teacher allots some of her instruction time to Skype with us.  Her kiddos are able to practice and brush up on their skills by talking to us via Skype in Spanish!
All of us benefit and we also strengthen our bonds with other students in the district!

We Got Our Book!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

It's cold here!  A whopping 22 degrees today!  That's a huge heat wave from yesterday!!!

Yesterday, we received our book that we published!  I am so proud of my students-I mean, authors. :-)

As noted in an earlier blog post, each student wrote letters to God!  I am so blessed to be their teacher!  Amazing kiddos.
