In TEAM we started an Aluminum Foil Challenge! We had to use at least 4 pipe cleaners and 1 sheet of aluminum to craft something spring related! Here is progress from Day !.
On Friday, we had the opportunity to reflect on how we follow PBIS! Each student needed to pick 3 adjectives that best describes themselves or adjectives that that best illustrate positive attributes they have for traits. We used Padlet to have them share anonymously. Next, students got to choose whose three adjectives belong to whom.
Hello! Today we did our demonstration speeches!!!! WOW, I am so proud of all creative and inspiring 21st century learners who personalized their speeches through voice, choice, path, and pace.
Today we practiced our fluency with a fluency buddy. Our buddy listens to us and gives us positive feedback and comments to support and encourage our expression, accuracy, infliction, voice, pausing, and phrasing.
Today we continued learning about main idea, details, and summary. We used non-fiction texts, Scholastic News, and Achieve to read articles and texts and then completed graphic organizers on main idea to show understanding of the skill. Students also made main idea bags. Students filled the bags with 4 "details" and students had to guess the main idea.
Today one of our readers brought in a puzzle that was cut into pieces. The pieces were events in her Book Club Book. Her peers needed to put the pieces together. She choose this option for Voice/Choice response for her Book Club Book. BRAVO!
Today the 3 Gamblers players came as part of our March RAVES! They talked about being responsible and attributes students need to have to be leaders and successful adults.
Today Nelson House students spent the day reading and sharing books, poems, jokes, fables, tales, and lyrics with the peers and presented in the Author's Chair!
Additionally, Nelson House could dress up like a character in a book!
