On August 24th training starts with one training on Bloodboorne Pathogens and another on Diabetic care. We get to review proper handling on blood soiled items, how to take off gloves, how to count carbs, what are general symptoms of high/low blood sugars, etc. It is amazing how being a teacher entails much more than teaching students. But, for one to be an effective teacher, one also has to be a learner at the same time!
