Cards, cards, and more decks of cards. I think I have the most sets of playing cards of all the teachers at my school. I use them for grouping students, math games (Addition/Subtraction War, Highest and Lowest Number, place value, Guess my Number, etc.) and now found a way to use them with Literacy (thanks to Raki’s Rad Resources). One can use a deck of cards to make words using a Playing Card Code. Depending upon one's grade level, one can modify this activity to suit one's students' levels. If you have any other ways you use playing cards please post them!
